Michael Paduano Publishes Mikey-Mike’s Zoo Yoga Party

Michael Paduano, a sales associate affiliated with the Palm Springs office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, has published “Mikey-Mike’s Zoo Yoga Party,” which introduces young readers to the world of physical fitness through its protagonist Mikey-Mike.

“My book will give children a new way to learn about fitness, animals and exercise,” said Paduano. “This is a subject that is very important to me as I work and volunteer my time helping children in our community and other areas to be educated on fun and creative ways to remain and become active.”

In the book, Mikey-Mike, along with his African jungle friends, will encourage children to learn about yoga fitness, develop creative expression and have fun at the same time. The themes encourage fair play, good citizenship and embrace all cultures and ethnicities. The book also teaches that all people are beautiful and important and that everyone deserves physical health and happiness.

A Palm Springs resident for almost two decades, Paduano has volunteered as a yoga instructor for groups and organizations including Gilda’s Club Desert Cities, the Stroke Recovery Center, the Living Desert’s Zoo Camp and Happy Zoo Year, and the Lance Armstrong Foundation – Moving Through Cancer, Safe-House of the Desert and Pegasus Riding Academy for the Handicapped. Paduano has produced, directed and authored two yoga DVDs, “Healing Yoga” and “Zoo Yoga,” which help promote fitness and wellness for both children and adults.
