Motorcycle, SUV Collide, Cyclist Hospitalized In Indio

INDIO, CA — A motorcyclist was injured in a collision with an SUV in Indio, police said Tuesday.

The crash was reported at 11:47 p.m. Monday on Avenue 42 and Golf Center Parkway, according to the Indio Police Department.

The motorcyclist, who was not identified, sustained moderate non-life- threatening injuries and was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs. He was expected to recover, police said.

The SUV driver was not injured, and the circumstances behind the collision were not immediately known.

Police said impaired driving was not believed to be a factor in the crash.
