NHL Kraken Player Shane Wright Added To Firebirds Roster Vs. Calgary
The 18-year-old center comes over on a "conditioning loan" after playing in five of the Kraken's first seven games and recording one assist.

PALM DESERT, CA — The fourth player selected in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, Shane Wright, was expected to hit the ice for the Coachella Valley Firebirds in Tuesday night's game vs. Calgary.
Coachella Valley will play two games against the Calgary Wranglers on both Tuesday and Thursday. Puck drop for both games is scheduled for 6 p.m. PSD.
Wright was assigned to the Firebirds by their NHL parent team, the Seattle Kraken, on a conditioning loan Sunday.

A conditioning loan allows a player to participate in the American Hockey League for a maximum of five games and/or 14 days.
Wright was a healthy scratch in nine of Seattle's 11 games since Oct. 25.

The Coachella Valley Firebirds' home opener will take place at Acrisure Arena, the newest world-class concert and sports venue designed specifically for the Coachella Valley, on Sunday, December 18, playing at home for the first time against the Tucson Roadrunners. Puck drop for that game is scheduled for 6 p.m. PST.
