Nice Holiday Gift: $1,000 for Boys and Girls Club

Spherion Staffing presented the check to the Club in Palm Springs.

Smiling faces are a common sight at Boys & Girls Club of Palm Springs, but those smile were noticeably bigger when Spherion Staffing recently presented the Club with a check for $1,000.

The donation was part of Spherion’s “Giveback Program” which is aimed at jumpstarting community giving during the holiday season. The organization chooses a number of groups across the country for donations that align with their vision of advancing local communities.

“We are so grateful and appreciative of this very generous donation from Spherion,” said Andrea Madrigal, Chief Professional Officer, Boys & Girls Club of Palm Springs. “The season of giving is upon us and offerings like this allow us to provide even more for our members, which is the best part of it all.”

Spherion’s Veronica and Richard Moyse were in attendance to present the check to the Club before a lively crowd of excited kids. They also gave out a four-pack of tickets to a behind-the-scenes tour at The Living Desert, a four-pack of tickets to Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert and a portable speaker system to three very deserving Club members.

“You could feel the energy of the Club upon walking through the doors,” said Veronica Moyse, a Partner at Spherion Staffing. “We could not be more proud of our decision to donate to Boys & Girls Club of Palm Springs, we truly sensed the love, compassion and concern for the children’s wellbeing from all of the administrators. The Club provides a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for our local children and both Richard and I, on behalf of Spherion, are quite pleased that we could contribute to that effort.”
