Palm Desert Aquatic Center Announces Fall Schedule

With fall upon us, PDAC is still in full swing throughout the months of October and November. PDAC is offering two different yoga classes and deals for college students and part-time residents. In addition to the recreational swim areas of water slides, splash playgrounds, and diving boards, swim lessons continue into October and November, with sign-ups open and new to PDAC is deck cycling! The Restorative Yoga class is still being offered, now on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s at 8:15 a.m. The cost is $15 per class or $99 for a 10-session pass. This is a gentle yoga that involves minimal poses supported by props that allow complete relaxation and rest. Chair Yoga is also still in full swing, happening on Friday’s 10:00 a.m. This class is unique because it is free is you have silver sneakers as part of your insurance. The fee for chair yoga is $6 for residents and $8 for non-residents. Chair yoga is also a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. Palm Desert Aquatic Center recently wrote a grant through the YMCA acquiring 12 state of the art, FreeMotion cycling bikes. PDAC will utilize these bikes in their new program - Deck Cycling! Deck Cycling is an indoor cycling experience on the outdoor pool deck. There is a $10 dollar drop in rate or first month introductory rate including unlimited classes for $69 or the frequent rider pass including 10 rides for $90. Space is limited for this program, please call for reservations. Watch for more information!

Fall swim lessons are half-hour long classes that will continue through on November 13th. The next available sessions are October 3rd – 21st and Oct. 24th – Nov. 11th. The cutoff date for registration is the Friday prior to the start date. R Swim lessons will resume near the end of February 2017. The fee for Palm Desert residents is $60.00, while non-residents are $80.00. Both residents and non-residents must register for lesson at PDAC. Palm Desert Aquatic Center is offering college students with school identification a $3.50 pool access. For private swim lessons and/or training, call (760)-565-7467.
