Palm Desert Aquatic Center Hosts Toy Drive

From Meltwater Press: Palm Desert Aquatic Center is getting into the giving spirit in December by inviting the public to participate in their Annual Toy Drive ending December 21st. For other activities to work off the pre-holiday shopping stress and post-holiday eating, try their relaxing yoga and invigorating spin classes. Now through December 21, PDAC is asking for local support for their Annual Toy Drive. They will accept new and unwrapped toys for boys and girls. The toys benefit families that the YMCA has identified for this charity event. The toys can be delivered to PDAC, 73751 Magnesia Falls Drive, Palm Desert, CA. Relax with their Restorative Yoga class, offered on Tuesday and Thursday at 8:15 a.m. The cost is $15 per class or $99 for a 10-session pass. This is a gentle yoga that involves minimal poses supported by props that allow complete relaxation and rest. PDAC provides yoga mats and props. No prior yoga experience is required. PDAC is offering AEA, Aquatic Education Association, training for water exercise instructors on Saturday, December 3rd at 7:30 a.m. -3:30 p.m. and Sunday December 4th at 8:00 - 11:00 a.m. This hands-on workshop, taught by AEA Training Specialists, is designed to reinforce the self-study resources. This workshop provides review, classroom movement and pool application that can help you enhance your skill! This course targets muscles, equipment & movement, techniques for altering intensity, programming & leadership skills including deck instruction. Palm Desert Aquatic Center has acquired 12 state of the art, FreeMotion cycling bikes. PDAC will utilize these bikes in their new program - Deck Cycling. Deck Cycling is an indoor cycling experience on the outdoor pool deck. There is a $10 dollar drop in rate or first month introductory rate including unlimited classes for $69 or the frequent rider pass including 10 rides for $89.
