
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire fell Wednesday for the 13th consecutive day, dropping a half-cent to $3.971.
In Palm Desert, though, people have reported filling up for less than that average. The gas-tracking website gasbuddy.com indicates the Arco station on Gerald Ford Drive and Cook Street was offering regular fuel for $3.69 gallon.
The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is 3.7 cents less than one week ago and 21.7 cents lower than one year ago, but 8.6 cents more than a month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has dropped 6.4 cents over the past 13 days, including one-tenth of cent on Tuesday.
