Palm Desert Golf Instructor Named to Elite List: Golf Magazine’s Top 100 Teachers
Dale Abraham has been teaching golf full-time for more than 19 years and has taught more than 35,000 individual lessons and clinics.
PALM DESERT, CA – Bighorn's Director of Golf Instruction, Dale Abraham, has been named to GOLF Magazine’s Top 100 Teachers list for 2017-2018. The list will appear in the March 2017 print issue and online at Golf.com in February.
Abraham is one of 15 new members on the elite list this year. Since its inception in 1991, the biennial ranking has become the industry standard for teaching excellence. Four different committees comprised of peer review, World Golf Teacher Hall of Fame members, established Top 100 teachers and alumni and Golf Magazine judge candidates on 15 baseline criteria
"It is a great honor to be named as one of the Top 100 Teachers in America,” said Abraham, who has been Director of Golf Instruction at Bighorn for almost a year and a half. “This award is one of the golf industries most prestigious awards and to be selected as one of the best out of 25,000+ teachers is truly a privilege.”

Abraham has been teaching golf full-time for more than 19 years and has taught more than 35,000 individual lessons and clinics. He has been honored with numerous awards including twice being named the PGA Section Teacher of the Year, Golf Digest Top Teacher in the state of California and the Southern California PGA Inland Empire Chapter Teacher of the Year.
“Since Dale was hired, our Bighorn members have recognized Dale as an exceptional instructor. We are thrilled that he is also being recognized by GOLF Magazine and chosen to be on this exclusive list of the top golf teachers in the country,” said Bighorn Chairman R.D. Hubbard.

Bighorn features two championship courses; the Arthur Hills designed Mountains and the Tom Fazio designed Canyons course. The courses have been the site for such notable events like The Skins Game, Battle at Bighorn, LPGA’s Samsung World Championships and the U.S. Senior Match Play Challenge.
Along with the 36-holes, Bighorn also has a high-performance Golf Learning Center on the Canyons Driving Range. The Golf Learning Center offers a four-camera video system, a launch monitor, a center of gravity monitor, as well as a Putting Lab.
