Palm Desert Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash

The CHP is investigating the deadly wreck.

MOUNTAIN CENTER, CA — A 76-year-old Palm Desert man was killed when he lost control of his Harley Davidson motorcycle and was ejected in the unincorporated Mountain Center area of Riverside County, authorities said Sunday.

The crash was reported at 9:20 p.m. Saturday on westbound State Route 74 east of Scenic Drive, California Highway Patrol Officer M.J. Murawski said.

The motorcyclist was found unconscious and taken by paramedics to Eisenhower Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 11:12 p.m., according to the Riverside County coroner's office. His name has not been released pending notification of relatives.
