Palm Desert Prostitution Sting Snares Beaumont Man
The operation, which netted 13 arrests, targeted "Johns" and prostitutes.

PALM DESERT, CA — A sting operation targeting "Johns" seeking prostitutes netted 13 arrests in Palm Desert this week, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department reported.
Wednesday's operation involved law enforcement placing "decoy" classified advertisements on websites "commonly used for the solicitation of online prostitution," the sheriff's department said.
The law enforcement task force members responded to Johns who replied to the ads, and after an agreement for paid sex acts and a meeting place were reached, the Johns were arrested when they showed up to meet their "dates."
