Palm Desert Soul Artist Gina Carey Celebrates Her New CD Release with a Live Concert
"Gina Carey to put on a free concert at Clementines in Palm Desert, CA. in celebration of her new CD release, "Can You Dig It"
On Sunday, September 13th, Gina Carey, winner of the 2015 Coachella Valley “Best Contemporary Artist award “and 2012 winner of the Marker Broadcasting Rising Star of the Desert Award for “Best Jazz Artist”, plans to celebrate the release of her new album “Can you dig it” with a free concert.
This event will be held at “Clementine Gourmet Marketplace & Café”, 72990 El Paseo Ste. 3 Palm Desert, CA 92260 5pm-7pm. Jamming along with Gina will be her husband, recording artist and former guitar player of “The Chi-lights”, John Carey, Theo Coakley, of the 70’s funk band T- Connection, Marvin sweet banks bass, Dave Thomasson on horns and Ty Sticks on Drums.
During this celebratory event, Gina will perform all 10 songs from her upcoming release. “Can You Dig It, Is a funky retro soul Album that capture’s the sound of the late 70’s and early eighties with a modern twist. This album was written & produced by Carey and will become accessible to the public by way of iTunes, Amazon & CD Baby on August 3.

Over the years, songwriter and producer, Gina Carey has recorded over 12 CD’s. Her recordings include,” In His Time, (1996) Changes, (2003)Tell Um,(2006) “My Journey”,( 2008)Melodic”(2011) “ Love Letters”,(2012) “ Love Letters 2”, (2012) Live, Love & laugh,( 2012) “Gina Carey... The Songbird” (2013)“Funk Rhythm & Soul” “Gina Carey the Soul Singer” ( 2015) and her latest “ Can You Dig It”( August 3, 2015).
Her latest singles, “Gimmie the soul & Funkalicious” are receiving worldwide radio support and are currently charting in the top 10 in the UK. Gina’s single “Gimme the Soul” was debuted in the Coachella Valley on 103.9FM The Perfect Blend, “Fitz in the morning.
