Palm Springs Dog Park Behind City Hall to Close Temporarily

The park will close temporarily for overseeding and maintenance and will re-open again on Dec. 23.

From The City of Palm Springs: The Palm Springs Dog Park behind City Hall will be closed beginning tomorrow, Thursday, Nov. 9, for annual overseeding and maintenance – and will re-open again on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017.

In the meantime, a temporary dog park will be available at Demuth Park on the corner of Vella Road and Mesquite Avenue, across from the Palm Springs Animal Shelter. The temporary park will be open seven days a week from daybreak until dark. “The City of Palm Springs and our Parks and Recreation Commission are pleased to once again meet the needs of our animal lovers by providing a secure temporary dog park while needed maintenance is performed at our widely used park behind City Hall,” said Vicki Oltean, Director of Parks and Recreation. “We encourage everyone in need of a safe place to walk their dog to take advantage of the temporary location at Demuth Park.”
