PALM SPRINGS, CA — Flights into and out of Palm Springs International Airport continued experiencing cancellations and delays on Monday due to a major winter storm gripping a vast stretch of the United States, according to FlightAware.com.
As of 9:30 a.m. Monday morning, five flights had been cancelled, and 16 more were delayed, according to FlightAware and the PSP website.
Most of the affected flights involved travel to and from both Austin and Dallas, Texas, New York, and New Jersey, as well as airports along the eastern seaboard. American Airlines flights were the hardest hit, as of Monday, according to FlightAware.

The impact on Inland Empire departures and arrivals comes amidst thousands of other flights that have been canceled or delayed nationwide, as a mix of snow, ice and sub-freezing temperatures bear down on a wide swath of the country.
