Police Hunt 'Erratically Driving' RV Along I-10

The CHP was reportedly chasing the recreational vehicle near Eagle Mountain Road.

DESERT CENTER, CA – A recreational vehicle being driven erratically in Palm Springs triggered a police chase on Interstate 10, and a closure of both sides of the freeway about halfway between Indio and Blythe today.

An incident described only as "police activity'' was reported at 10:39 a.m. on the freeway, at the Eagle Mountain Road interchange at Desert Center.

At noon, eastbound traffic was stopped at Hayfield Road, about 40 miles east if Indio and more than five miles in advance of the closure.
