Prostitution Bust in Palm Desert Reported After 'Suspicious Activity' Call
Sheriff's officials say two women are facing charges of prostitution.

PALM DESERT, CA – Two women have been arrested for allegedly conducting prostitution out of a Palm Desert business, sheriff's officials said Tuesday.
Yan Zhang, 63, and Mei Qin, 33, were arrested on Thursday at a location in the 45000 block of Lupine Lane following the service of a search warrant, according to sheriff's Sgt. Juan Zamora.
"Officers began investigating after receiving several complaints about suspicious activity at a residence," Zamora said in a news release. "An extensive investigation revealed evidence of prostitution at the location."

Both women were taken to the Larry Smith Correctional Facility in Banning on charges of prostitution and municipal code violations, the sergeant said.
The investigation was ongoing Tuesday and deputies asked anyone with information to contact the Palm Desert Business District Team at (760) 836- 1606.
