RivCo Man Arrested In Suspected Road Rage Attack That Injured Woman, 2 Children
What initially appeared to be a felony hit-and-run was later classified as an intentional and violent assault.
YUCCA VALLEY, Calif. — A 28-year-old Yucca Valley man was arrested Sunday after deputies say he intentionally rammed a vehicle during a road rage incident, injuring a woman and her two young children.
Morongo Basin Station deputies responded around 4 p.m. Sunday to a reported traffic collision in the 6800 block of Avalon Avenue in the Town of Yucca Valley. When deputies arrived, they found a 24-year-old woman and her two children, ages 1 and 3, standing near a crashed vehicle.
Investigators determined the collision was not accidental, but the result of an intentional act. Deputies said the suspect, identified as Dante Killebrew, deliberately used his vehicle as a weapon by ramming the victim’s car during a road rage encounter while the children were inside.

The woman and both children were transported to a local hospital for treatment of pain related to the assault. Their conditions were not immediately released.

Killebrew was arrested and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm, in violation of California Penal Code 245(a)(1).
