Road Closures For Coachella, Stagecoach Music Festival Start This Week Through May

INDIO, CA — Festival season is coming to Indio, and area police have announced traffic plans in preparation for the upcoming concerts

Avenue 50 will close on Monday and remain blocked until early May for pedestrians and vehicles in advance of both the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and the Stagecoach Country Music Festival, the Indio Police announced.

The road will be closed between Monroe and Madison streets through 6 p.m. May 4, according to the Indio Police Department.

Authorities urged motorists and pedestrians to plan ahead and take alternate routes, including Highway 111, Dr. Carreon Boulevard, Avenue 48 and Avenue 52.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will take place April 10- 12 and April 17-19, while the Stagecoach Country Music Festival will be held April 24-26. Both festivals will be held at the Empire Polo Club.

Residents and festivalgoers can expect more road closures and access routes to be announced as the festivals approach.
