Rubidoux Bobcat Recovers at Living Desert
A dehyrdrated and injured bobcat found near a Rubidoux home on Saturday is under medical care at The Living Desert

A bobcat caught in Rubidoux was being cared for at the Living Desert zoo today.
The 16-pound cat, believed to be yearling, was found in a yard in the
5700 block of Kenwood Place on Saturday and appeared to be dehydrated.
It "seemed lethargic, but got fairly nasty once in a catch pole," Riverside County Department of Animal Services spokesman John Welsh told mydesert.com.
Bobcats -- Lynx rufus -- prey mostly on rabbits, and adults can grow to
about 40 pounds.

It was unclear if the cat would stay at the Living Desert or be released
into the wild, ``which is what we would like to see happen," Welsh said.
