INDIO, CA — A semi truck heading westbound on I-10 rolled over onto its side, spilling diesel fuel and blocking one lane of travel near the Chiriaco Summit, the California Highway Patrol shared.

CHP triggered a SIG Alert due to the blocked right lane of travel. That lane would be closed for approximately 5 to 6 hours during fuel cleanup, according to CHP Dispatch Operators.

Shortly before 10:30 a.m., the semi-truck with trailer "flipped over," CHP dispatch said. The trailer was on its side, blocking lanes. No one was injured from the incident, though the diesel fuel was leaking across the asphalt, according to the CHP and Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
