Snow Days Begin Friday On El Paseo

Desert families can play in the snow every Friday in December before Christmas during Snow Days at .

Choirs from , , Rancho Mirage Elementary, and are set to perform Friday, Dec. 2 from 5 to 8 p.m., according to Craig Donahue, a spokesman for the event. 

KNEWS Radio’s Bill Feingold will be broadcasting live from the kick-off on Dec. 2 at 7 pm. Dickensian carolers will be serenading guests on Dec. 9, 16 and 23, he said.

Anyone who show a receipt of $50 from the Shops on El Paseo will get a complimentary horse drawn carriage ride through the famous El Paseo shopping district while rides last.

In addition, team members from Odyssey of the Mind in Palm Desert will be raising funds by providing gift-wrapping services and ornament sales for a small donation.  

Odyssey of the Mind is comprised of students from Palm Desert High School and Xavier College Preparatory Academy. 

They will be representing the United States and California in the international creativity and problem solving competition in St. Petersburg, Russia in April 2012.
