Sunspire Health and Palm Desert Chamber of Commerce Host Grand Opening of New IOP Facility

Sunspire Health and the Palm Desert Chamber of Commerce co-hosted a Grand Opening Celebration on June 2nd.

Sunspire Health, a leader in the treatment of addictive disorders, hosted the opening of its Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Palm Desert, California. The new program serves as the follow-up to in-patient residential treatment, offering continued clinical care in a structured and compassionate environment. The program includes individual and group counseling sessions and psycho-educational workshops. The goal is to help individuals develop essential sober-living tools and skills, while providing support for their transition into the routine of a new life in recovery.

"We are committed to helping people at every stage of their recovery, whether they're in need of 24/7 clinical care or ready to transition into their new lives while continuing to receive treatment," said A.J. Schreiber, founder and CEO of Sunspire Health. "We understand that offering IOP services at strategic locations nationally affords our network the ability to provide the full continuum of care that individuals affected by addiction often need to succeed in their recovery."

Upon completion of a comprehensive residential addiction treatment program, individuals in recovery can benefit from a transitional program in which they can continue a robust clinical program while learning the skills necessary to start a productive routine and healthy life. For those who are not local to Palm Desert, sober living accommodations are available, offering a supportive community of motivated individuals in recovery who together are trying to make a fresh start for the next best phase of their lives.

Sunspire Health offers a full continuum of care nationally, serving as a partner in each client's recovery. The Palm Desert location is the third to also offer IOP services, joining Sunspire Health Astoria Pointe in Oregon and Recovery Road in Florida which also offer residential treatment. The IOP program is based on the Matrix Model, in which patients meet with therapists for support, direction and coaching as well as drug education and introduction to self-help support such as the 12-Step Program. Certified addiction counselors and clinicians, and experienced staff work with clients on life skills such as resume building and career counseling, while still providing therapy to maintain their recovery and receive care for co-occurring disorders.
