'American Pride' Theme for 2012 Golf Cart Parade

"American Pride" will be the the theme for the 48th annual Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade, it was annouced this morning.

“This is surely going to be a sight to see, " said Parade Chairman Mike Hardin I can picture the patriotic families along El Paseo in stars and stripes, red, white and blue. The theme is perfect for this election year and always fitting for a parade, of course. The decorated floats and carts from local businesses and organizations can really be creative in showing their ‘American Pride’ and I encourage everyone to enter their businesses, clubs, church groups, schools and more. Be a part of the community, seen by thousands and have fun with your staff, building something special.”

According to Katie Slimko of the Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce, over 100 entries were submitted to the name-the-theme contest. The winning theme was entered by Doctors Schantz and Moranda, Orthodontists in Palm Desert, who are also frequent parade participants.

The 48th annual Golf Cart Parade will take place on October 28th.
