Thousands Expected at Annual Martha's Village 5K
The annual turkey trot is set for Thanksgiving Day.
More than 4,000 participants are expected to turn out when Martha’s Village & Kitchen holds its annual Thanksgiving Day 5K Run/Walk in Palm Desert.
The ninth annual event starts at 8 a.m. Thursday at El Paseo and Larkspur Lane and supports Martha’s, which works with the homeless.
Participants get a free T-shirt and breakfast. Strollers, wheelchairs and pets are welcome, according to organizers.
