Toll Brothers Wins The Nationals Gold Award for Palm Springs Architecture

Toll Brothers at Escena in Palm Springs won a Gold Award at The Nationals 2017, an annual competition honoring the best in new home sales, marketing and design.

The Brizo model was honored for Best Architectural Design – Detached Under 2,000 Square Feet.

The Nationals Awards ceremony was one of the highlights of the National Association of Home Builders International Builders Show held January 10-12 in Orlando, Florida.

With architecture by RFT Design based in Irvine, the Brizo model home is a Mid-Century Modern style with iconic Palm Springs sleek, stunningly chic features embracing the desert city’s scenic setting.

The 1,984-square-foot plan’s design aesthetic is one of simple, no-fuss sophistication distinguished by beautiful angles and geometric shapes. On the exterior, it has an artful curb appeal harmonizing with a mountainous horizon.

Panoramic views are also accentuated from inside the home with an open concept floor plan characterized by clean lines and expansive glass creating a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor living spaces.

Upon entry, the foyer separates private and entertaining areas of the home. Around the corner from the foyer is an open kitchen and soaring, angled great room with up to a 16-foot-high ceiling.

The kitchen is equipped with a unique center island and an abundance of cabinet and counter space. A variety of windows and a nine-foot-high sliding glass door brings light into the great room and dining room.

The master bedroom suite is a show stopper. It has a sumptuous master bath with a stellar stand-along tub, a shower with a seat, a dual-sink vanity, a private toilet area and an enormous walk-in closet. The secondary bedroom also features a private bath and walk-in closet.

During a three-day judging process, a panel of seven industry professionals from across the country determined the Gold and Silver award winners from a field of more than 1,100 entries.
