Tommy Bahama Gets Refreshed Island Look

Palm Desert’s is celebrating the completion of its renovations to a "light and bright beach house design" on El Paseo.

The eatery offers island-inspired food and drinks, he said.

The outdoor patio was redone to include soft seating and the bar was expanded to the center of the restaurant.

“The Coachella Valley has a dynamic, social demographic that we have targeted with our renovation,’’ said Michael Shimer, senior general manager of the Palm Desert location.  “We know they’ll enjoy our new look.”

The restaurant opens daily at 11 a.m. for lunch and dinner, with Island Time Happy Hour from 4 to 6 p.m.

The renovations were designed by Napa-based Shopworks.
