Traffic Alert: Water District Work To Impact Palm Desert Traffic
Drivers are encouraged to use caution and avoid the area if possible during the work.

Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) will conduct work on Cook Street in Palm Desert that will impact traffic from 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9 to 6 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane each way on Cook Street between Fred Waring Drive and Joni Drive as crews install a new 12-inch water line. Traffic cones and signs will designate closed lanes.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution and avoid the area if possible during those hours.
The Coachella Valley Water District is a public agency governed by a five-member board of directors. The district provides domestic and irrigation water, agricultural drainage, wastewater treatment and reclamation services, regional storm water protection, groundwater management and water conservation. It serves approximately 108,000 residential and business customers across 1,000 square miles, located primarily in Riverside County, but also in portions of Imperial and San Diego counties.
