Traveling Photo Memorial Headed to Indio, Then Palm Desert

It will go on view at the Westfield Mall in Palm Desert from March 16-23.

“Remembering Our Fallen,” a traveling photographic memorial dedicated to the 726 Californians who have died while serving in the war on terror, will move from Palm Springs to Indio on Sunday.

The Coachella Valley History Museum in Indio will offer free admission throughout the exhibit’s March 6-16 run.

The memorial is on display at La Plaza Shopping Center in Palm Springs through Saturday. Following its appearance in Indio, it will go on view at the Westfield Mall in Palm Desert from March 16-23.

“This memorial reminds us of the sacrifices our men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces make in service to our great nation,” said Nachhattar S. Chandi, president and CEO of Chandi Group USA, the exhibit’s sponsor.

“Remembering Our Fallen” was created by Patriotic Productions, a nonprofit based in Omaha, Nebraska.

“While this memorial is about those who died, it was created for the living,” said co-creator Bill Williams. “Ideally it will help the families with their grief, while reminding the rest of us of the terrible price paid for our freedom.”
