Tristan Rogers, 'General Hospital' Alum, Awarded Star On Palm Springs Star Walk

PALM SPRINGS, CA — Actor Tristan Rogers will receive the 471st star on the Palm Springs Walk of the Stars in the categories of Entertainment and Humanitarian, the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce announced Thursday.

The ceremony, which is free and open to the public, will occur on Monday, November 18th, at 2:30 p.m., at 849 North Palm Canyon Drive.

"Rogers is known and beloved by fans worldwide for his portrayal of the charismatic and daring Robert Scorpio on ABC’s Emmy Award-winning daytime drama, "General Hospital," a spokesperson for the chamber said. "He has captivated audiences for decades, building a legacy in television history."

According to his biography, Rogers's character, Robert Scorpio, debuted in 1980 and quickly became iconic, winning him a devoted fanbase and critical acclaim for adding depth, excitement, and complexity to daytime television.

Beyond General Hospital, his career includes roles in "The Young and the Restless," "The Rescuers Down Under," and "Babylon."

Rogers and his wife, Teresa, have lived in Palm Springs for over 30 years. According to the chamber, they are well-known for their philanthropic contributions and frequently host fundraisers at their home. Rogers has dedicated time and energy to causes such as the American Cancer Society, the Desi Strong Foundation, and numerous other local charities, which reflects their commitment to the community.

Nona Watson, CEO of the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce, spoke about the award, and Rogers, as a resident,

“We are honored to recognize Tristan Rogers, whose performances have inspired fans across generations,” Watson said. “We’re thrilled to celebrate his contributions not only to the entertainment industry but also to our community through his generous philanthropic efforts.”

For Rogers, this honor is especially meaningful, he said in a recent statement.

"This honor on the Palm Springs Walk of the Stars is truly special to me," he shared. "It represents not only my journey in entertainment but also my strong connection to this remarkable community, as Palm Springs has been my adopted home for many years.”
