Two Hospitalized in Highway 111 Crash
One of the victims had to be cut free from the wreckage, according to sheriff's officials.
A driver remained hospitalized Friday with life- threatening injuries following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 111.
Emergency crews were sent at 8:31 p.m. Thursday to Highway 111 at Depot Drive.
Investigators said the driver of a Chevrolet pickup truck eastbound on Highway 111 made a left turn and collided with a Ford Ranger pickup traveling west. The impact damaged the left front fender and door of the Ford, pinning the driver inside, sheriff’s officials said.

Firefighters cut the victim out of the crumpled vehicle and airlifted the motorist to a local hospital.
The driver of the Chevrolet was taken to an area hospital complaining of hip and elbow pain, sheriff’s officials said.

A Nissan Altima was slightly damaged by flying debris, but the driver was uninjured.
Alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
