Two Nearby Blood Drives Set Today In Wake Of Orlando Shooting

PALM SPRINGS, CA --- Two blood drives will be held in the Coachella Valley today -- one in La Quinta and one in Palm Springs -- in aid of the Orlando shooting victims. '
The drives are hosted by Gulf California Broadcast Co., CBS Local 2, KESQ and KUNA Noticias 15.
"Your blood donation THIS WEEK will help replenish supply for local patients’ needs AND be a statement of hope and caring for Orlando victims," Lifestream Blood Bank said.

Those looking to donate may visit two locations: -- Desert Regional Medical Center's Stergios Building, 1150 N. Indian Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or Lifestream Blood Bank at 79215 Corporate Center Drive, La Quinta,from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Donors must be at least 15 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds.

Prospective donors ages 15 and 16 must have a signed parental form, which will be available at both locations.
More than two dozen victims of Sunday's shooting massacre remain hospitalized at Orlando Regional Medical Center, with at least four in critical condition, according to media reports.
