Two Women Accused of Identity Theft, Arrested

They're accused of stealing mail from several boxes throughout Coachella Valley, according to police.

Two women were in custody Saturday, accused of committing identity fraud in La Quinta and surrounding cities, authorities said.

They’re accused of stealing mail from several boxes throughout Coachella Valley and using the contents to commit identity fraud crimes, Cpl. Joshua Reinbolz of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.

On Friday, three search warrants were served for the 69000 block of Beachcomber Way in the unincorporated area of North Shore, the 46000 block of Arabia Street and the 48000 block of Monroe Street in Indio.

Nicole Pech, 34, of North Shore, and Nicole Ramos, 33, of Indio, were arrested Friday morning for multiple counts of identity theft, check fraud, possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.

Juan Carlos Rodriguez, 35, of North Shore, also was arrested on drug possession charges.

The women are being held in Indio on $20,000 bail each.
