Want to Work for Riverside Sheriff's Department? There's a Job Fair This Weekend

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department will hold a job fair at its Thermal station on Saturday.

Presentations on open positions will be given every hour from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and recruiters and current employees will be on hand to answer questions, according to the sheriff’s department.

Job openings in the desert include correctional deputy, 911 officer, office assistant, accountant and food service worker.

The sheriff’s department must fill hundreds of correctional positions to staff the East County Detention Center in Indio, slated to open at the end of 2016, as well as put a few hundred more deputies on the streets.

Applicants should register by calling (888) 564-6773; walk-ins will also be accepted.
