Water Leak Shuts Down Traffic On Palm Desert Street

PALM DESERT, CA — Motorists are being asked to avoid traveling on Hovley Lane East, between Corporate Way and Eclectic Street, in Palm Desert due to a water leak.

Coachella Valley Water District crews are repairing the leak, and eastbound Hovley Lane East is closed with a detour around the area onto Corporate Way, according to CVWD.

The water agency issued an alert about the leak at approximately 10 a.m. Monday. Repairs are estimated to be completed by 2 p.m. Monday, CVWD reported.

There was no word on what caused the leak.
