Woman Arrested for Alleged Drunken Driving in Golf Cart

PALM DESERT, CA - A drunken woman crashed her golf cart into a parked car at a Palm Desert country club and was slightly injured, police said Sunday.

It happened at 9:28 p.m. Saturday at Indian Ridge Drive and Eagle Dance Circle, inside the Indian Ridge Country Club, said sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Wilson.

The woman tried a left turn onto Indian Ridge Drive and crashed into the rear bumper of an unoccupied parked car.

Virginia Glidden, 52, of Palm Desert, was arrested for suspicion of drunken driving, Wilson said.

She was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, before being booked at the Riverside County jail in Indio.
