Workshop Aims to Help Small Businesses Win Contracts

SunLine Transit Agency will host a workshop Friday for owners of small businesses on how to obtain contracts with government transportation agencies.

The workshop is administered as part of a program with the U.S. Department of Transportation.

“The program ensures that qualified businesses have an equal opportunity to compete for, and participate in the performance of all DOT- funded contracts and subcontracts,” SunLine officials said in a statement. “It also assures that all contracts and procurements will be administered without discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex or national origin.”

The workshop is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to noon, at SunLine’s offices, 32-505 Harry Oliver Trail.
