PALM SPRINGS, CA — The annual Palm Springs International Film Festival will return next year for 11 days showcasing various films and programming in international cinema, organizers announced Wednesday.
The 38th annual festival will take place from Jan. 7-18.
The event will kick off with the film awards on Jan. 7 at 277 N. Avenida Caballeros. Officials said nearly all past winners have received Academy Award nominations, including such names as Jessie Buckley, Timothee Chalamet, Michael B. Jordan, Elle Fanning, Ethan Hawke, Kate Hudson and Stellan Skarsgard.
Opening night of the main festival will be held Jan. 8, with closing night set for Jan. 17 followed by "Best of the Fest" screenings on Jan. 18.
Programming will include "Talking Pictures," "Books to Screen," "Family Day" and "Best International Feature Film" panels.
