Palm Springs Public Library Foundation To Host LGBTQ+ Book Festival

PALM SPRINGS, CA — LGBTQ+ authors, readers, and community members will gather in Palm Springs this fall for the Palm Springs Public Library Foundation's Fifth Annual Pride on the Page Book Festival.

The free event will take place Saturday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Palm Springs Cultural Center.

Celebrating its fifth anniversary under the theme "Our Lives, Our Words, Our Stories," this year's festival will focus on memoirs and personal narratives to reflect diverse experiences across the LGBTQ+ community.

The daylong program will include panel discussions, book signings, an outdoor vendor tent featuring local publishers and organizations and an evening reception with featured authors.

Some authors confirmed to attend the event include Murray Hill, Phill Branch, Sandra Butler and Daniel Jaffe.

For the first time, the entire festival will be free to attend, with a limited number of books provided to attendees at presentations while supplies last.

The City of Palm Springs, Palm Springs Cultural Center, Best Bookstore in Palm Springs, Saguaro Hotel, LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert, Stacked Deck Press, Rattling Good Yarns and Sibling Rivalry Press are among some of the events sponsors.
