Nude Man Arrested For Assault With A Deadly Weapon In Palm Springs
The victim suffered an injury and was transported to a local hospital.
PALM SPRINGS, CA — A 42-year-old man suspected of assaulting another man with a weapon while naked in Palm Springs was behind bars Thursday.
Damien Christopher Smith was booked into the Smith Correction Facility in Banning Thursday on suspicion of criminal threats, corporal injury on a spouse and assault with a deadly weapon, according to Capt. Gustavo Araiza of the Palm Springs Police Department.
Bail information was not immediately available.

Officers responded to a report of a physical altercation shortly after 9 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of South Sunrise Way.
Witnesses told officers that the altercation involved two men and that one of them was naked and the "primary aggressor" who threatened to kill the other person before the confrontation became physical.

The victim had a "visible injury" and was taken to a local hospital. The nature and severity of the injury was not immediately known.
Smith was found and detained without incident. He was arrested Wednesday and had an outstanding warrant, Araiza said.
