PALM SPRINGS, CA — A power outage left nearly 1,000 Southern California Edison customers in Palm Springs without electricity on Thursday.

The power outage was reported just after 7 a.m. near the areas of East Grace Circle, East Janet Circle, and part of North Avenida Caballeros, according to the agency's website.

The outage was impacting 985 customers due to a "dig into underground service," according to the Southern California Edison website.
