
A fire broke out on the second floor of a three- story building in the Westlake area of Los Angeles this afternoon, but 45 people got out safely.
The fire was reported at 2211 W. Sixth St. at 2:36 p.m. and was put out in seven minutes by three dozen firefighters, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
There was no immediate word on the cause of the blaze, or a damage estimate.
