Area Environmental Group Wins Wells Fargo and National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Grant
Such good news for the Peninsula and Santa Cruz Mountains lands and creeks!

The Wells Fargo Environmental Solutions for Communities grant program, funded by the Wells Fargo Foundation and administered by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), granted today $222,816 to local Bay Area nonprofits to fund environmental projects -- including funding for the local Acterra.
The three Bay Area nonprofits were selected from among more than 450 requests submitted by local team members and nonprofits that Wells Fargo identified as being in need of extra help with green revitalization projects.
Included with $68,000 was Acterra, Action for a Healthy Planet, that oversees 18 restoration sites along the San Francisco Bay Area Peninsula, including the Santa Cruz Mountains. The organization engages students and community volunteers to enhance and restore natural lands and creeks.
