Arrest Made In 'Suspicious' Palo Alto Fires: Police
BREAKING: A 23-year-old local man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of four counts of arson in the fires, police announced.

PALO ALTO, CA -- A 23-year-old Palo Alto man was arrested Saturday as the suspect in a string of allegedly suspicious fires early Friday in the city. According to Palo Alto police, a patrol officer who spotted Terry Hill Jr. at about 9 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of Urban Lane thought Hill bore a strong resemblance to a person of interest in the fires who had been captured on surveillance in the area of Friday's Palo Alto Avenue fire.
"After further investigation, police booked [Hill] into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for four felony counts of arson," Palo Alto police stated in a news release.
The four fires occurred between 2 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Friday in the downtown area and were all deemed suspicious by police and fire investigators. A surveillance image of a person of interest was released Friday to the public and the media.
