Become a Counselor-in-Training!

Are you 13 or 14 years old? Apply for the City of Palo Alto's Counselor-in-Training program. Deadline- Friday, March 31, 2017!

With an emphasis on service, initiative, and leadership, The City of Palo Alto’s Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program provides opportunities for teens ages 13 and 14 to take lead in our historic summer camps. CITs are mentored by camp staff, build leadership skills, gain experience, and earn community service hours all while working with children in a safe, engaging, and fun space. Lead in hikes, swimming, arts and crafts, camp
overnights, and so much more! With many of our counselors starting off as CITs, the Counselor-in-Training program allows you to lead the way toward summer fun!

How to Apply

  1. Visit tinyurl.com/CIT2017
  2. Download and complete the 2017 Counselor-in-Training application
  3. Submit complete application to ashabi.idris@cityofpaloalto.org, or drop off at Mitchell Park Community Center, 3700 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto, CA 94303
