Bernie Sanders Rally In Palo Alto Set For Wednesday

PALO ALTO - Democratic Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is scheduled to appear at a Palo Alto rally on Wednesday, less than a week ahead of the critical California Primary election June 7.

According to the Sanders website, Sanders will lead a Palo Alto rally Wednesday morning at the Cubberley Community Center Fields, 4000 Middlefield Road.

Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. according to campaign officials.

The event is free and open to the public, but an RSVP is strongly encouraged, say Sanders organizers.

Earlier in the day, BCN reports Sanders will address a morning news conference on fracking in Spreckels, an unincorporated Monterey County community.

For security reasons, you are asked not to bring bags to the Palo Alto rally, and limit what you bring to small, personal items like keys and cell phones.

Officials say weapons, sharp objects, chairs, and signs or banners will not be allowed through security checkpoints.

Admission is first come, first served.
