Body Found Floating In Surf At Peninsula Beach

PACIFICA, CA – A body was found floating in the surf at Sharp Park Beach in Pacifica on Sunday evening, according to police.

Officers responded at about 7:40 p.m. to the south end of the beach on a report of the dead body.

A paramedic arrived to find a female body in the water and was able to pull her to shore, police said.

Paramedics and firefighters attempted lifesaving measures but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity and cause of death of the female are under investigation by Pacifica police and the San Mateo County coroner's office.
