Acclaimed classical guitarist Hao Yang brings her extraordinary talent and international acclaim to the stage. Winner of the prestigious 2024 Koblenz International Guitar Competition "Hubert Käppel" and second prize winner of the 2024 GFA International Concert Artist Competition, Hao has established herself as one of the most accomplished guitarists of her generation.
Her impressive list of accolades includes the Clifton Foundation's Emerging Artists Award, first prize at the Twisted Spruce Music Foundation, second prize at the 54th Markneukirchen International Instrumental Competition in Germany (first prize not awarded), and first prizes at the GFA International Youth Competition, CSU International Guitar Competition, and Andrés Segovia 7th International Guitar Competition.
Hao has captivated audiences on some of the world's most prestigious stages, including Carnegie Hall, the Kimmel Center, Miller Theatre, and the National Centre for the Performing Arts. She has appeared as soloist with the Chursächsische Philharmonie in Germany and performed at major international guitar festivals in Cleveland, Panama, and Beijing.
A passionate chamber musician, Hao made her Carnegie Hall debut premiering "Talking Guitars" by renowned composer Paul Lansky.
