Healing in Christian Science is joyful— it’s the natural result of understanding God as divine Life and Love.

In this inspirational talk, speaker Ann Kneeland shares real-life examples of spiritual healing. Her examples show how fear, illness, and polarization dissolve as we discover God’s pure and spiritual creation. This discovery brings joy, healing, and freedom for everyone.

Ann Kneeland, CS is a practitioner of Christian Science healing from San Rafael. She travels internationally to speak to audiences as a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship.

The talk will be offered twice: Friday, October 16 at 7pm and Saturday, October 17 at 10am at the Christian Science Reading Room in Palo Alto (459 California Avenue) and streamed live: https://www.cspaloalto.org/event-details/healing-with-joy-discovering-the-power-of-love-2026-10-16-19-00-1

Whether you're a trivia master, a nature nerd, a Halloween enthusiast, or just looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon, there's a place for you. Come hang out, make some new friends, and see how many of our spooky trivia facts you can get right!

Celebrate the changing of the seasons with a rich autumnal palette filled with seasonal botanicals such as Mums, Zinnias, grasses, herbs, and more. In this hands-on workshop, you will explore how branches can serve as both a natural mechanic and a beautiful design element within your arrangement.
Together, we will create a vibrant floral composition that captures the warmth and texture of the season. Instructor Katherine Glazier will share some helpful tips and practical techniques to help you arrange flowers with confidence and artistry.
Registration closes on Monday, October 12 to allow time for supply preparation.
Please bring your floral clippers. Flowers and other materials are included.

<h3>Instructor Bio</h3>
<a href="https://www.kjglazierdesign.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Katherine Glazier</a> is an instructor and floral arranger at Gamble Garden and she co-led the floral design program at Filoli for eight years. She holds a European Master Certification (EMC) and a Teacher’s Diploma in the Sogetsu school of Ikebana. Katherine exhibits at Bouquets to Art at the deYoung Museum and she conducts public floral demonstrations. Seasonal and locally grown material, with an emphasis on the beauty of California floriculture, is showcased in her designs. She also enjoys incorporating eastern and western design philosophies in her work.
