2 Dead After Car, Train Collide In San Jose
A train on the Mountain View-Winchester light rail route collided with a car at Lincoln and Auzerais avenues.

SAN JOSE, CA --Two people are reported to have died in a collision between their car and a Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority train today in San Jose, transit officials said.
A northbound train on the Mountain View-Winchester light rail route collided with a car at Lincoln and Auzerais avenues at 12:34 p.m., according to transit officials.
The crash damaged an overhead pole and wires that power the train that will need repair, transit officials said.

A bus bridge is in place between the Convention Center and Fruitdale stations, running on the normal Sunday service at every 30 minutes, transit officials said.
