Casing The Place? Suspected Backyard Prowler Caught On Camera In Peninsula

Los Altos police turn to the public for possible identification.

Police today released photos of a man who trespassed into the backyard of an empty home in Los Altos last week.

Around 11:15 a.m. Thursday, the suspect entered the backyard of a home through a side gate left unlocked in the 200 block of Delphi Circle, police said. Footage from the home’s surveillance system showed he was looking at the property while briskly walking, according to police.

The suspect then peered into the home through a window but did not attempt to enter the residence and left the scene, according to police.

The suspect is described as a man between 30 and 40 years old with a medium build and short, light brown hair, police said.

He was wearing black shorts, walking shoes and a Golden State Warriors gold T-shirt with the phrase “Strength In Numbers” on the front, according to police.

Police have released photos of the suspect captured from the surveillance system and are asking anyone with information about him to call Los Altos police at (650) 947-2770.
