Registration now open for free community event 'Health Mattes' hosted by Stanford Medicine on Saturday, May 14th

Registration is now open for Stanford Medicine’s annual community health event, Health Matters, which will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 on the Stanford Medicine Campus. The event welcomes attendees of all ages to expand their awareness of current health topics through talks and an interactive health pavilion. Register by visiting healthmatters.stanford.edu.

Talks by 21 of Stanford Medicine’s top physicians and faculty will inform listeners on topics including: Recharging the Brain, Mindfulness, Concussions, Stem Cells and Aging, and Pain Management (see the complete list of talks). Each speaker will discuss health matters that affect the community and their families and brief attendees on cutting-edge medical research occurring at Stanford to combat relevant health issues.

New this year to the event is a special Women’s Track. Health Matters is partnering with the Stanford Women & Sex Differences in Medicine Center to bring attendees a series of panels throughout the day covering everything from heart health to stress reduction and from women’s cancer to sleep.
